No. Too many things were left unanswered. I lkie it when the story ends, everything is wrapped up nice and neat. Did the author leave it open for a sequel? Hope not...been there done that. Don't know if I would like to read how much more heroic Abby would be.

Yes, I knew something was up with him. I just wasn't sure where he would fit in. Though he came to Abby's rescue at the end of the story, I thought he should have played a bigger part in the book. Rather than a love interest with Alvarez, Ives would have made a better side-kick to Abby's SuperWoman role.

No way on God's green earth!! I hate small dark places. And how in the heck did Abby know where she was going in that dark tunnel. She seemed to have a photographic memory when it came to finding her way around a place that she had never gone before. SuperWoman lives on.

I have no idea. He'd commit murder and then peacefully go back to his ordinary life. I'm not sure that's how it would work. I guess the author felt this was a good way to lend some action to the plot.

No I didn't, and of course I was wrong. Still, there was something about her character that didn't sit right with me. She seemed to be on top of things. And yet, until Abby came along, she didn't know anything that was going on.

I didn't trust him from the beginning. I'm not sure if it was because he was pushing at Abby too strongly to join the Alliance or the fact that he had been in Patience for a time and heading up the Alliance and the town wasn't getting on his back.

Regarding the fact that I was a newbie and hadn't been at my new job for that long, I probably would have hung on awhile longer. On the other hand, if I had the kind of experience that Abby did, I would tell them to take their job and give it to some else, and move on.

Yes I do. From my experience, people from small towns tend to stick together. Whether it is right or wrong doesn't seem to matter a whole lot. "Outsiders" sticking their noeses into the towns business is frowned upon. I think of the line.."It's my way, or the highway".

My superwoman skills such as portrayed by Abby are sorely lacking. I may be more of a leader than most people but I would have declined the offer until I had spent more time in the town and at my job.

When Josh's behavior became so eratic, I think I would have given him an ultimatum of seeking medical help himself or taking matters into my own hands. After all I'm in love with the guy and plan on marrying him so I would give him a tad more time and consideration than Abby did.
